My Bro's POP

9th Dec 09
Went to my brother's POP with my mama. When we set off from khatib, it was raining heavily. Thought it might also be raining at Pasir Ris, but the weather there was good, in fact, it was rather sunny. While waiting for the shuttle bus to the ferry terminal, we saw this fussy and petty mother asking one of the NS usher some questions. Another parent in the bus queue interrupted their conversation. Since the parent was already in the queue and was about to board the bus, the usher answered to her queries first. When he went back to help the petty mother, she reprimanded him, saying that he should have answered her first cos she was the first to ask. I was so damn pissed off by her sickening attitude. If his son was the usher and some stupid parent like her scold her for such small issues, how would she feel. The ushers are there to help and not to provide customers service; the parents need the ushers' help, whereas the parents are no help them. However, I wasn't daring enough to confront that mother.
When we reached the parade, the seat were fully occupied, so my mama and I ended up sitting on the steps.
Before the parade: My mama and I =D
Didn't wait long before the parade started. Couldn't spot my brother from where we were sitting so just anyhow snapped.

POP loh! =D

After the parade. Bonding time.
My camera's battery went flat before I could use it to take pictures with my brother, so had to resort to using my phone. But luckily, there was free photoshoot provided. Since it was free, we took a few shots. Haha! =D They develop the photo instantly.
The first shot my bro's eyes were
closed so took another one =D

There wasn't much business for the photographer stationed there, cos everybody's in a hurry to go home. So my mother and I patronised him. I love the background. The photo taken was nice, just that I looked hunched back. Haha! =DBefore we left for the ferry
(Finally my mama managed to show a wide smile =D)
I must say that they really planned this event very well. Though the pastries served was *ahem* and the waiting time for the ferry was rather long, we were well entertained by taking free photos, and seeing how well my brother had bonded with his section mates. It was really an enjoyable day and don't know why, when I was watching the parade, I felt touched, felt like crying. Maybe because I didn't get to see Ben's POP or it's been long since we had such close interactions with my brother. Anyway, I was really happy that day, believe my mama and brother were happy too. And I was impressed by the free photoshoot provided. =D
